Great Lakes.
The nine-agency New York Ocean and Great Lakes Ecosystem Conservation
Council was pleased to submit the New York Ocean and Great Lakes
Ecosystem Conservation Council Report to the Governor and Legislature
on April 6, 2009. The Ocean and Great Lakes Report is based on Council
work done over the past two years through public dialogues, working
groups, advisory groups, community groups, public review and other
efforts. The report attempts to capture the range of pressing issues
facing New York’s ocean and Great Lakes, their basins, and
their communities and recommends priority actions to move forward
efficiently and effectively in this tight budget climate.
Ocean and Great Lakes Report
Through nine-agencies working together and building on materials
developed by the Ocean’s Working Group, Great Lakes Working
Group, and Science Advisory Group, Council staff drafted a report
which was released on January 30th for public review and comment.
